Steps to reproduce
1- Do View/Text Size/Largest
Actual results in IE 8 RC1 build 18372: the text will expand, will protude outside the gray block
Expected results: the text should not expand, should not protude outside the gray block
2- Do View/Text Size/Smallest
Actual results in IE 8 RC1 build 18372: the text will not expand to fill its container, the gray block
Expected results: the text should expand to fill its container, the gray block
Notes:
- clicking inside the gray background-color block will cause a correction reflow and then the text will linewrap at right edge of container's width: other paragraphs will not be affected by this so, you need to click inside other <p> nodes to trigger such correction reflow
- if you do, View/Text Size/Largest, then the text will linewrap too early, too soon, before reaching the right edge of container's width
- sometimes (say, from medium to larger seems pretty consistently reproducible), after a text resize, the line-height is not updated accordingly so the glyphs' descenders are not visible, are not viewable, are cropped. Even commas become periods!
